Meet Alfredo Cañete, Cargo Manager at Consorcio Aviation. A passionate football and aviation enthusiast, an expert in air cargo, and someone who works moving shipments around the world. Today, he tells us a bit more about the person behind the professional.

What is your role at Consorcio Aviation?
I am the leader of the cargo operations at the airport. My main role is to organize and oversee all the operations we carry out at the airport and, at the same time, ensure that we maintain the highest standards, as Consorcio Aviation has always been known for.
How long have you been with Consorcio?
In July, it will be 8 years since I joined Consorcio.
What are the main personal or professional achievements you highlight from your time at Consorcio?
I think that, both personally and professionally, this journey has treated me very well. I started back in 2017, and now in 2025, these years have taught me to become a better person and, perhaps, a bit wiser. Being surrounded by people with vast experience in both operations and business, you undoubtedly learn something new every day.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
The diversity that my job brings. I could start my day in a meeting with top executives from our company and end it by receiving a flight late at night in a warehouse at the airport. That diversity is fascinating.
In your daily life, what inspires you? (or who?)
My family is my biggest inspiration every day. Also, the team I lead. It’s motivating to see that the group is giving their all and that we are on the right track as a team.
Do you have a personal quote or a favorite phrase to share with us?
"The road that leads to greatness is tough."
I’d say the author is unknown. I read it in a book I found forgotten in a hotel in Palermo, Buenos Aires, while taking a course for CAV.

Beyond the professional, who is the person? What are your passions? What’s your story?
I was born in Asunción but raised in the Republic of Luque. I had a happy childhood. At 15, I moved to Buenos Aires—it was a great experience, and after finishing high school, I returned to Paraguay.
I consider myself a family-oriented person. I love spending time with my loved ones. As a friend, I can be the best. I enjoy good conversations between parents and children, good company. Sometimes, children help us understand and appreciate the simple things in life.
Do you have any new goals or challenges in mind?
I’d say quite a few!
But my main focus this year, professionally, is to keep CAV at the highest operational and administrative standards, which has always set us apart. Through that, I also want to explore the possibility of expanding to other airlines, ensuring that our signature remains excellence—without a doubt.
I truly believe that, with the dedication of this incredible team, it is possible.
